OLO

A New Type of High

OLO is a new brand in the cannabis marketplace utilizing biochemistry and neuroscience to create a truly unique product. Each strain is named after an experience: Social, Chill, Focus and Active. By looking through the lens of five specific effects of cannabis, the distinct nature of each experience shines through.

The target for OLO is a more sophisticated consumer-so the design could not feel like the typical “cannabis-based” product.
Clean lines, negative space and pops of color were all used to help elevate the look and feel. I also designed an “Experience” guide that was utilized as an educational resource for Budtenders at dispensaries to help support the brand. The guide covered each variety of OLO and what type of experience a user could expect from each strain.

This packaging system received numerous honors, including a 2018 Health + Wellness Design award from GD USA. This work was created while working at The Velo Group.
